Introduction

EVS4U provides the one-stop-shop to help you find, compare and buy your ideal electric vehicle.

• Find
  • Define the key performance specification of the type of  vehicle that suits your need using the advanced search facility
  • Display detailed information about individual vehicles including reviews by clicking on the model link in the vehicle list

  • Once you have found your ideal vehicle select the suppliers option and see the list of prices for that vehicle.
  • If the vehicle is a second hand then see available previous sales prices for that vehicle.
  • Save a search and receive notification when new vehicles are added.

Contribute To The Database

If you are interested in promoting electric vehicles then why not help contribute to the existing database. Simply register and add to or edit existing vehicles (see Terms & Conditions)

Vehicles With Undefined Data

The community maintained database is both powerful and flexible. However, because of this it is a necessary to handle undefined or unknown data in a convenient way, yet allow advanced searches to be performed properly. In order to complete this the advanced search provides a facility to allow the inclusion or exclusion of vehicles that have undefined data for the required search fields.

Displaying vehicles with one or more undefined fields

To do this simply make sure that, in the advanced view, the "Include undefined values" option is ticked as required.

Users are helped to know when there are vehicles with undefined data that may or may not be included in their search listing via warning. The warning is displayed at the top of the listing, when ever one or more vehicles maybe either missing or included in the list with undefined data.

To display vehicles with undefined values select the advanced search criteria one field at a time untill the warning is displayed. Then, for the field that caused the warning to be displayed, select the "?" drop-down option or enter "0" and then click return. You can then click on the model name and then "Edit" (if you are registered) and update the vehicle data as necessary.

How To

Compare Vehicles Side-by-side

Although a specific facility to select the items to compare is still under developments, it is possible to compare vehicles by entering a specific URL.  The aim is to use a link similar to www.evs4u.info/vehicles.php?mode=details&VehicleModelId=(1,2), where 1 and 2 are the VehicleModelId's of the vehicles to compare.

• From evs4u.info display the details of the first vehicle to compare and note the VehicleModelId number at the end of the web page location (URL)
• Repeat for the above for the second vehicle
• Copy and paste the above link into your browser replacing the numbers 1 and 2 with the noted VehicleModelId's from previous displays.

Configure Images

To present your vehicle in the best possible light (especially on the initial vehicle list page) the vehicle thumbnail should be sized to 120 x 50 pixels (i.e an aspect ratio of 2.4:1) and maximumised within this image.

Terms & Conditions

Use of data

You are free to use the data on your website for personal and non-profit use.  In order to allow improvement of layouts and the immediate display of new vehicles the data must be displayed directly in an embedded frame obtained from either the generic export display (???) or a custom view supplied by ????

Abuse

Registered users are required to preserve existing valid data and not abuse or spam the database.  Users who fail to comply with the Terms & Conditions will be removed and barred from access.
